Bhushan attacker held for protesting against Sibal

Four persons, including a man who had attacked senior lawyer Prashant Bhushan at his chamber, were detained from outside Telecom Minister Kapil Sibal’s residence on Wednesday, the police said. HT reports.

KC Dwivedi, additional commissioner of police said that the detainees were protesting and shouting slogans against the union minister’s plans to monitor social networking websites outside his Chanakyapuri residence. “Tejinder Pal Bagga, who was arrested for attacking Bhushan for his controversial comments on Jammu and Kashmir and three of his friends were detained,” said a police officer.

The two others who were detained and fined under relevant sections of the Delhi Police Act included Vishnu Gupta and Ahiv Kumar.
