The Bharatiya Janta Party on Saturday accused the Delhi government of “forcefully removing” its hoardings on power tariff and the exploitation by distribution companies from the Capital.

Senior BJP leader V.K. Malhotra said the party had paid money to agencies concerned for putting up the hoardings at DTC bus stops in 30 places.

“In a healthy democracy, the Opposition has an important role. But it seems, the Delhi government has become intolerant and wants to bully the opposition,” a BJP statement said.

The BJP on Friday accused chief minister Sheila Dikshit of acting as “CEO” of private discoms that want electricity rates hiked.
