On the eve of Dussehra, activists of the Bharatiya Janata Party burnt effigies of price rise, corruption and power tariff as Ravanas.

The activists of the country’s principal Opposition party at the Centre said the effigies were burnt in protest against the policies of the Union government and the city government.

Delhi BJP chief Vijender Gupta led the party cadres in burning effigies of Aaj Ka Ravan (Today’s Ravan) at Shakurpur and two other locations in the national Capital.

Similar effigies were also burnt at Vasant Kunj, Kalu Ram Chowk in Mehrauli, Khanpur, Dussehra Ground in Chirag Delhi and near Pratap Nagar Metro station.
