The BJP-led opposition disrupted proceedings on the final day of the winter session of the Delhi Assembly, demanding an inquiry into the alleged links between Delhi ministers Arvinder Singh and Haroon Yusuf with Gurdeep 'Ponty' Chadha and his brother Hardeep, who were killed in a shootout at their farmhouse in Chhatarpur on November 17.
The four BJP MLAs —Subhash Sachdeva, Sat Prakash Rana, Sunil Vaid and Pradyumn Rajput —were evicted from the house after they trooped to the well of the house waving copies of the newspaper that carried a report on telephonic calls and message details of the two ministers with the two slain brothers.
Seventeen members of the BJP were evicted from the house for two days when they disrupted proceedings on Thursday. However, these four BJP MLAs were not present in the house on Thursday.
Rubbishing the allegations as “baseless”, Arvinder Singh said, “I know them (Chadhas) from my grandfather’s days. Hundreds of people call me every day. What is the issue in it? Anybody who knows me calls me.”
