In a shocking incident, the highly decomposed body of an 11-year-old girl, who was allegedly raped and murdered, was found in South Delhi, days after she went missing.
According to police, the incident happened in the Fatehpur Beri area in South Delhi. The girl, a student of a government school had gone missing on May 16 around 3 pm. The father of the girl, who had gone to a wedding in Gurgaon, came home late that day and was informed about the incident by his son.
The father of the victim then approached the police at 12.30 am on Monday and informed them that his daughter was missing. A case of kidnapping was then registered at Fatehpur Beri police station, as the father feared that his daughter was kidnapped by two youths, Rafu and Chandu, from his village.
“The police did not make any effort. In fact, I made two PCR calls on that day but police officials including the Investigating Officer kept saying that he was busy in some major accident in the area. My daughter would not have died if the police had questioned the two youths whom I named and if strict action had been taken,” he said.
“My wife told me on Sunday that Rafu had called my daughter out of the house on the pretext of giving her something. They raped and killed my daughter,” he alleged.
A morning walker who called the police found the girl's body in Mandi ridge area on Tuesday morning.
Police said the girl might have been murdered on Sunday itself and then the killers may have dumped the body. Police have also reportedly found a liquor bottle near the crime scene.
Police is waiting for the post mortem report to confirm rape.
A case of murder has already been registered. They are reportedly questioning Rafu and Chandu, about the incident.
The post mortem was conducted at AIIMS Trauma Centre and the body was handed over to the family.
