Delhi may have to brace up for mid-week traffic mania, with its arterial roads likely to be clogged on Wednesday and Thursday, with two major events lined up.
While on February 23, the sponsoring committee of trade unions has proposed a rally to Parliament House, on February 24, South Africa and West Indies are set to clash at the Ferozshah Kotla stadium.
About 40,000 people are expected to turn up for the rally on Wednesday, which will start from Ramlila Grounds at 10am. "Traffic congestion is expected in New Delhi and Central Delhi areas," said Satyendra Garg, JCP (traffic).
On Thursday, when the ICC World Cup Match is on, there will be no vehicular diversion.
However, there will be no parking for private vehicles close to the match venue.
