Bunty turns back on cops who tried to reform him

His outrageous style of operation in over 300 cases made him the most brazen thief in Delhi, but it was the reformative steps taken by a few senior Delhi Police officers that helped 'superchor' Bunty rise to fame.
Their efforts helped Bunty become an international celebrity and bag a role in TV reality show Bigg Boss season 4.
But now, to their surprise, Bunty is ungrateful of these police officers - even inspector Rajender Singh, who had gone out of his way to bring him back into the mainstream.
He, however, identifies HGS Dhaliwal, the then DCP of south district when Bunty was released from jail. Surprisingly, he also knows SK Giri, an inspector in the special cell of Delhi Police.
Davinder Singh aka Bunty chor was brought to the Capital on Wednesday on transit remand from Bhopal , where he was arrested by the local police, three days back.
A five-member team from Delhi's New Friends Colony police station brought him to the city in a private vehicle.
Even though it was a long and tiring journey, the team didn't risk travelling in a train as they did not want to give Bunty a chance to escape - something which he is infamous for.
"We produced Bunty in a city court that granted us his custody for two days. We will interrogate him in the carjacking cases and also try to ascertain whether he committed any other crime in the city after coming out of jail in 2010," said a senior police officer.
