With speculation rife in Congress over cabinet reshuffle, Congress president Sonia Gandhi is expected to meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Monday.
Many Congress insiders believe that the reshuffle can happen this week with period from September 30 to October 15 considered inauspicious as per Hindu calendar.
The likely dates for changes in the Cabinet are September 25 or September 28 as President Pranab Mukherjee will be visiting Kashmir on September 26 and 27.
The probability of reshuffle increased after six Trinamool ministers including Railway Minister Mukul Roy resigned from the Cabinet. Some ministers have been hold additional charge.
After changes in the government a reshuffle in the Congress is also expected.
Congress sources, however, ruled out any immediate replacement of Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy for the time-being.
