As Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress chief Sonia Gandhi on Wednesday held discussions on the impending cabinet reshuffle, sources said the exercise could take place any time between July 10-13.

The two met separately after a Congress core group meeting, which also discussed the reshuffle in the context of textiles minister Dayanidhi Maran's role in the 2G spectrum scam.

Maran's fate hangs in the balance but there is also talk that some ministers such as Kantilal Bhuria and BK Handique might be dropped.

Singh and Gandhi have so far held 3-4 rounds of talks on the reshuffle-cum-expansion, which the PM says will be "expansive".
