Three students, aged between 12 and 13, were seriously injured when an unidentified car hit their rickshaw in Sunlight Colony of South East Delhi on Monday morning.

The three victims — Atul, Jaya and Surabhi, all students of Class VI at Kota DAV School nearby — were on their way to the school when the accident took place.

While the driver of the car fled from the spot, the children were immediately taken to nearby Jeevan Surabhi Nursing Home. Surabhi was discharged in a few hours but Atul and Jaya are still undergoing treatment," a police officer said.
