"A 25-member team led by CBI Joint Director Arun Kumar has been formed to investigate the case," he said.

The Uttar Pradesh government referred the case to the CBI after the Noida Police botched up the probe, inviting flak from everyone.

The security around the Talwar home has been increased as the CBI team reached the house to interrogate slain Aarushi Talwar's mother Nupur.

"Since she was one of the four people present in the house when the incident happened, her interrogation can provide vital clues," the official said.

Around 90 personnel of the Sashastra Seema Bal have been deployed outside the Talwar residence in Noida's Jal Vayu Vihar and barricades have been erected, where Rajesh Talwar was arrested eight days after the twin murders in a quiet middle class neighbourhood in the suburban town of Noida that borders Delhi. The 15-year-old Aarushi was found in her home with her throat slit May 16 morning - the body of her domestic help Hemraj was found on the terrace the next day.

The Noida Police arrested Rajesh Talwar for the murders, saying he first killed the servant and then his daughter after finding them together in her bedroom on May 15 night in close quarters "but not compromising position".

The police also said that he killed her because she had come to know of his extra-marital affair with a colleague and had threatened to expose him.
