The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which is probing the murder of Aarushi Talwar (13) and her family's domestic help Hemraj Banjade in May 2008, questioned her dentist parents recently about what had transpired in their life a day before and two days after the murders.
Dr. Rajesh Talwar and Dr. Nupur Talwar were asked to narrate and recount in minute detail what occurred in their home on May 15, 16 and 17 of 2008, according to a CBI source.
The CBI had last questioned Aarushi's parents in July in New Delhi.
Aarushi and Banjade were found murdered in identical manner with their heads bludgeoned with a blunt object and throats sliced with a sharp weapon on May 16, 2008. While Aarushi's body was found in her bedroom, Banjade's body was recovered from the building's terrace, a day later.
"We asked the again also about the events of May 17, 2008, when they had taken Aarushi's body for cremation to Haridwar," said the source.
The source added that they had asked the Talwars about the "72 hours, from May 15 to 17 of 2008" in the past too, including in the narco tests conducted on them in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
The CBI had suspected that the cremation could have been delayed but is yet to find any corroborating evidence. The agency is yet to crack the double murder case and had missed the 90-day deadline for submitting chargesheet.
