Central Bureau of Investigation has asked domestic help Raj Kumar, one of the three main accused in the case involving the murder of Noida teenager Aarushi Talwar and her domestic help Hemraj Banjade in May 2008, to return from Nepal to face its interrogations afresh.

“Raj Kumar is expected to return to Noida during the first week of November,” said an agency source linked to the probe who is not authorised to talk to the media.

Raj Kumar and the case’s other two accused — medical assistant Krishna Thadarai and domestic help Vijay Mandal — are on bail since September last year. Like Raj Kumar, Thadarai too had gone back to Nepal after he got bail (they are both Nepalese citizens, as was Hemraj).

Aarushi and Banjade were killed early on May 16, 2008 at the former’s Jal Vayu Vihar home located in Sector 25.

Thadarai used to work with Aarushi’s father, dentist Dr Rajesh Talwar, while Banjade was the Talwars’ domestic help.

The agency had re-constituted its probe team in the case early in September.
