Delhi revenue minister Ashok Kumar Walia took stock of the city’s preparedness and asked officials to fine-tune the disaster management mechanism.

Walia said disaster management in the city was complex due to its high population density, extensive physical infrastructure, heavy vehicular traffic and huge floating population. He also emphasised on improved co-ordination between various government departments and agencies and asked to identify the vulnerable structures.
