City student bags international prize

When most students spend their entire time on books, she manages to find some time to pursue her hobbies.
She has made the city proud by winning an international poster-making competition. She also bagged a prize of about Rs 80,000.
Anusha Bhat, a student of Amity International School, Sector 43, Gurgaon, who participated in a poster-making competition on genes therapy, was adjudged the winner.
The competition was organised by Path University in the UK.
“In our school, a workshop on DNA necklace was organised by Path University. Later, we were asked to come forward for the competition. The theme was ‘Gene Therapy: Magic bullet for treating cancer’,” said 17-year-old Anusha.
“Though I won the prize, I think I could have done better,” the Class 12 student, who aspires to be a neurologist, said. According to Anusha, her father UBR Bhat, an engineer by profession, and mother Geeta Bhat, have been a great source of inspiration.
