An Army Court of Inquiry (COI) ordered into allegations of sexual misconduct against its Engineer-in-Chief Lt Gen AK Nanda is expected to submit its final report in two weeks.
"The COI, which began the probe last month, will submit its report in another fortnight," a senior Army officer said in New Delhi on Monday.
The proceedings of the COI, the officer said, were yet to be completed and three more witnesses had been called by the presiding officer for deposition in the case.
Nanda was facing the allegations levelled by the wife of a colonel, who until two months ago was the Engineer-in-Chief's technical secretary. Nanda has denied the allegations against him.
She had lodged a complaint in May that Nanda had misbehaved with her at a hotel in Israel, which she visited along with her husband earlier that month.
Nanda was heading the official delegation to Israel and the Colonel, being his then technical secretary, was assisting the Engineer-in-Chief during the trip.
Upon returning to India, the Colonel's wife lodged a complaint with Bharati Singh, president of the Army Wives Welfare Association and spouse of Army Chief General VK Singh.
