Congress on Tuesday announced the seventh and last candidate for the Delhi Lok Sabha constituencies, nominating two-time MLA Mahabal Mishra from the West Delhi seat to take on senior BJP leader Jagdish Mukhi.

Mishra pipped his party colleague and MLA Mukesh Sharma, senior lawyer K T S Tulsi and former National Minorities Commission member Harcharan Singh Josh to get a nomination from the newly-created constituency.

"We have nominated Mishra to fight the elections from West Delhi seat," senior party leader Oscar Fernandes said in New Delhi.

A prominent 'Poorvanchali' (Eastern UP/Bihar origin) face of the party, Mishra is a sitting MLA from Dwarka. BJP has fielded a 'Poorvanchali', cricketer-turned politician Chetan Chouhan from East Delhi.

The party had earlier announced that all its sitting MPs will contest the elections.

Ajay Maken (New Delhi), Kapil Sibal (Chandni Chowk), Sajjan Kumar (South Delhi), Jagdish Tytler (North-East), Krishna Tirath (North-West) and Sandeep Dikshit (East Delhi) are the six sitting MPs who have been renominated.
