After the Samajwadi Party manifesto opposed English education and computers, Congress on Sunday reacted sharply saying the manifesto "must be rejected".

"A manifesto like this which seeks to drag India into the stone ages must be condemned and rejected," party spokesman Abhishek Singhvi told PTI.

Congress and SP failed to enter into an alliance in the key state of UP which sends 80 members to the Lok Sabha due to claims and counter claims on various seats.
