A Delhi Police constable posted in PM’s security wing was booked for molestation and causing hurt after a woman alleged that she was stripped off her clothes and was beaten inside her house in Chattarpur Extension area.

The victim made several rounds to a local police station but when they didn’t take any action, she moved to court. “After she moved to court, an FIR against the cop was registered on October 30. The woman has also alleged that instead of taking action against cop, local police detained her sons claiming they are creating nuisance in the area,” said a senior police officer.

The incident had taken place in August when the woman was thrashed by constable Raj Kumar for allegedly drawing water from a government water pump. Kumar reportedly owns a building in Chattarpur and the woman is his neighbour. He Kumar entered her house and beat her in front of her husband and sons. Interestingly, Kumar hasn’t been arrested yet.
