Court appoints lawyer to inspect shelter home

The Delhi High Court appointed a lawyer as the Court Commissioner and directed her to visit a building in Motia Khan near Sarojini Nagar, converted into a night shelter for homeless people, and file a report about the basic amenities provided by civic agencies there.

The court on Wednesday appointed Firdause Qutbwani and directed her to file a detailed report by May 5. The direction came after it was alleged that the three-storey building was not in proper condition.
