Garg also directed Tiwari to pay Rs 75,000 to Shekhar within one week, as per an earlier order of justice Geeta Mittal.

A single judge bench of the court December 23, 2010 had asked Tiwari to undergo a DNA test on the suit filed by Rohit Shekhar, 31, who claims to be his biological son.

Shekhar claims he was born out of the leader's alleged relationship with his mother Ujwala Sharma.

Tiwari, who held the posts of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand chief minister, had opposed the paternity suit. The octogenarian leader had to quit as governor of Andhra Pradesh in December 2009 after a sex scandal.
