The Delhi High Court on Tuesday dismissed a plea by banned Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) to de-seal its office in Zakir Nagar in South Delhi.

It had been sealed after the Centre banned the outfit in 2001 for alleged involvement in terrorist activities.

Justice S Muralidhar took the decision after the Home Ministry submitted that municipal records showed the house belonged to one Habibullah Siddiqui and so neither SIMI nor its president Shahid Badar Falahi had any claim on the building.
