Former Indian cricketer Robin Singh Junior was beaten up in a drunken brawl outside the premises of the Income Tax building on Friday.

The incident took place when Robin, an inspector in the I-T department, and a friend, Chetan Pathak, tried to enter an adjacent building.

A fight broke out when the security personnel asked for Singh for an identity card. Singh said, “It’s unfortunate that I was involved in a brawl a week before my promotion.”
