On Monday, while Delhi Development Authority (DDA) — which built the flyover in 2005 — maintained the accidents had occurred due to speeding, it rushed a team of engineers to the killer spot and ordered some corrective measures.
By evening, rumble strips had been placed on the flyover. DDA spokesperson Neemo Dhar said, “Accidents have been taking place on this stretch due to speeding. We are putting up more rumble strips and signage as an immediate step. We will also talk to experts and take precautionary measures to put a check on accidents on this flyover.”
