Delhi’s police commissioner YS Dadwal said there has been a sharp decline in road accidents, both fatal and simple, between June 1 and June 15. In 2008, 91 people had died in road accidents in Delhi between June 1 and June 15. This year, the number stood at 59 during the corresponding period.

In contrast, the period between May 16 and May 31 this year saw 78 deaths.
