Delhi: BJP leaders to hold rallies in all 70 seats as campaigning ends today

In a final push to woo the voters on the last day of campaigning for Delhi Assembly polls on Thursday, BJP MPs and Union ministers will hold at least one rally in each of the 70 constituencies in the national capital.

Candidates of the political parties and other leaders can campaign till 6:00pm on Thursday, 48 hours before the polling day on February 7.

A senior BJP leader said they have planned to hold rallies in all the 70 constituencies.

"Union ministers and party's MPs have been asked to hold at least one rally in the 70 Assembly constituencies each so that people can also be wooed by the party at the last moment," he said.

Party president Amit Shah had said that the BJP was in direct fight with Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party in this Assembly elections.

He also said the party would win Delhi polls as there was the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and work done by his government.

Eyeing a return to the power after a gap of 16 years, party has field 120 MPs, including a number of Union ministers.

Several party workers from Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Maharashtra have been camping in the national capital to campaign for the BJP.

BJP has set a target to win Delhi elections with two-thirds majority.

More than 1.20 lakh booth incharge and 'panna pramukhs' have been roped in to campaign and apprise people about BJP's plans for the city, he said.
