Delhi PG medical entrance test could be scrapped

The entrance test for medical postgraduate students held on Sunday is likely to be scrapped and Delhi University is in the process of fixing dates for a re-exam. Students were given conflicting instructions on Sunday, leading to several complaints to the controller of examinations.
“We are likely to have a re-examination. We are in talks with the concerned faculties and the decision will be in the best interests of the students. We should be decided on the date and other details by tomorrow,” said Dr M.L. Singhla, dean, controller of examination, DU.
The confusion arose when students who appeared for the test in Hansraj College were given different directions from those at other centres (see box). “We have to be fair to all students. There has been a lapse by exam conveners as students were given wrong information in some centres,” said Dr Singhla.
