Delhi Technical University student bags Rs. 93 lakh offer from Google

Another engineering student from the Delhi Technical University has received a job offer worth bragging about.
Himanshu Jindal, a fourth-year computer science engineering student, has bagged an Rs. 93-lakh job offer from Google. The 21-year-old will be paid $115,000 per annum and has been given 125 Google Stock Units, which comes up to Rs. 93 lakh as per the current exchange rate.
DTU’s placement process began on August 1 and already more than 40 companies have already visited the campus and offered 260 jobs.
Jindal, who has accepted Google’s offer, expressed his excitement and said that he had worked really hard to bag a job offer from a company as renowned as Google.
Last month, 11 students had been offered pay packages up to Rs. 70 lakh by EPIC, a US-based software company. One DTU student had been offered Rs. 28 lakh per annum by Goldman Sachs and eight students have been offered pay package of Rs. 19 lakh by Amazon.
“DTU students are being placed in international companies of high repute because we try to prepare students beyond the structured curriculum by encouraging industry interface through guest lectures, industrial visits and project work,” said Ruchika Malhotra, assistant professor, department of computer and software engineering.
The 40 companies which have so far visited the university within a month-and-half of its placement season include EPIC, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Samsung Electronics, Samsung Research, Google, Amazon, Adobe, Directi, Walmart, Cisco, C-Dot, Infibeam, Qualcomm, Futures First, HT Media, RBS, SanDisk, Bajaj Auto, ITC and Carrier.
