This year’s Diwali was lacklustre in the city as several streetlights and high-mast lights were not working, a clutch of South Delhi Municipal Corporation councillors have claimed. HT reports.
This year’s Diwali was lacklustre in the city as several streetlights and high-mast lights were not working, a clutch of South Delhi Municipal Corporation councillors have claimed.
Many streets were lit only by decorative lighting put up by area residents while parks remained dark after twilight, the councillors said. The leaders and officials of the corporation had said it would be ensured that streetlights were working.

The councillors added that the corporation had begun distributing new streetlamps after Diwali.
