The victims, Yoginder (22) and Subhash (24), both residents of E-block, had come to eat at the hotel.

Trying to park their motorcycle, the two got into an altercation with another youth.

“The argument turned ugly and the two thrashed the youth severely,” said a senior police officer, who is not authorised to speak to the media. “The youth first left the place but returned later along with his associates in an Indica car."

A scuffle ensued. While Yoginder was stabbed in the chest, Subhash suffered injuries in his abdomen.

Both were admitted to Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital.

The police have registered a case against the unidentified assailants who fled the spot after the incident.

A manhunt has also been launched to nab them, the officer said.
