Tension within the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) is escalating as the panel inches closer to preparing its report on the 2G spectrum scam.
A furious DMK has now alleged that JPC chief, Congress MP PC Chacko, is postponing meetings "without reasonable advance information".
DMK leader TR Baalu has written to Chacko on Wednesday, asking him to fix dates for the presumably final meeting of the panel in such a manner so that "transparent, fair and just observations and discussions" can take place.
Objecting to Chacko's decision to reschedule April 23 meeting to April 25, Baalu said, "MPs would require sufficient notice to plan their change of schedule of programmes which would have been already agreed".
The next meeting is expected to approve the draft report of the JPC on the 2G scam.
The strongly-worded letter from the DMK comes close on the heels of Chacko's decision not to allow former telecom minister A Raja to personally depose before the panel.
DMK is set to oppose the draft JPC report.
