St Xavier’s College

Entrance examination: Admission is based on a minimal essential percentage determined by the number of seats available and the number of students who have applied. A special BMM entrance exam is held before admission.

Hostel facility:
The college runs a small hostel on campus for male students of the senior college only. The preference is given first to students of the basic and natural sciences courses and then to the other students on the basis of seniority, first to the third year students and so on. Applications are accepted only after admission to the College has been secured.
Campus life: ‘Malhar’, its annual fest, has taken college festivals to a whole new level.

The college started the Centre for Slum Studies in 2002 and supported academics with experiences in slums. Up till now seven batches have completed successfully. Out of them 70% candidates secured respectable positions in good placements.
