The wait is over. Delhi University colleges on Monday released the first cut-off list for admissions. The commerce and economics cut-off marks have shot up compared to last year’s. Humanities registered a marginal increase. Science cut-offs remained almost static.
To get BCom (Honours) in Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), you need at least 94.75 per cent if you are a commerce-stream student. If you are a science or humanities student without mathematics as a subject, you need 98.75 per cent. This is an increase of 2.25 per cent.
SRCC principal PC Jain said cut-off marks for commerce and economics were bound to rise, given the good performance of these students in Class XII exams.
Hindu College principal Kavita Sharma expected a more realistic score to emerge in the second round of admissions. Economics cut-offs have gone up by 3 per cent to 3.5 per cent at Hindu.
The BCom cut-off for commerce students at Hindu and Hansraj is 94.25.
