Eight fake mark sheets uncovered at Dyal Singh

Yet another college has fallen prey to the fake mark sheet scandal.
Authorities at Dyal Singh College have discovered eight fake revaluation mark sheets.
“The students had failed in the second year exams of the university and had applied for revaluation. They were supposed to send in the results of revaluation as soon as possible so that we could confirm their admission to third year,” said IS Bakshi, principal, Dyal Singh College.
This scam comes on the heels of a fake CBSE Class 12 mark sheet scam at Ramjas College that was uncovered by the college administration last year.
Out of the eight students who submitted fake revaluation reports, seven were from B Sc Physical Sciences, while one was from Chemistry (honours). The college has lodged an FIR against all eight students.
“Four students had already got admission on the basis of the forged revaluation reports, while the other four were attempting the same, when we realised that the reports were forged,” Bakshi said. The four students’ admission has been cancelled.
“Ever since authorities uncovered the scam at Ramjas College, all colleges scrutinise documents properly before giving admission. Had we been even a little lax, the case would have gone unnoticed,” said a teacher at Dyal Singh.
