The agency has filed a case under the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) in this regard. The ED sleuths had earlier questioned him in connection with the award of Timing-Scoring-Result system’s contract to Swiss Times Omega for R141 crore. But the questioning had taken place in Tihar jail where Kalmadi was lodged for nine months. This time the questioning took place in the ED office as Kalmadi is out on bail.

According to sources, ED sleuths recorded his statement during the questioning.

To hire taxis, branded buses and giant video screens for the conduct of QBR, the CWG organising committee hired two London based firms AM Car and Van Hire Limited and AM Films Limited- promoted by Ashish Patel. It is alleged that both firms were hired on the basis of fake quotations and on exorbitant rates. The payments were made to these firms in a hurry.

The OC also claimed that these firms were on the panel of the Indian High Commission in London but the claim turned out to be false. The purported mail of an Indian High Commission staffer in the regard was found to be a forged one.
