According to police, the driver was drunk and driving rashly. “The CISF personnel asked him to drive slowly and it is then that he jumped out when the bus was still in motion. One of the staff somehow managed to stop the bus,” a senior police officer said.

The incident took place on Tuesday night around 8:30pm when the CISF staff posted at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) were being taken to their Bijwasan camp.

Police said that the bus was outsourced by the Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) to ferry CISF personnel from the airport to their camp.

The driver was caught by the CISF staff and was handed over to the police. “We have booked the driver, Sanjay Kumar, for negligent driving,” the police officer added.
