Former Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) chief Pradip Baijal, who is currently working for Niira Radia, PR consultant under the 2G scam cloud, and former secretary of the department of telecommunications (DoT), Siddharth Behura, will brief the Public Accounts Committee on Tuesday on issues relating to the allocation of 2G telecom spectrum sand licences in 2008. Behura signed the controversial letters of intent (LoIs) that gave new telecom firms their 2G licences in 2008.

Baijal was Trai chairman at the time of the drafting of the policy through which companies paid around R1,650 crore to enter the telecom sector.

After retirement Baijal joined Noesis Consulting, promoted by Radia who also owns Vaishnavi Corporate Communi-cations limited that advises the Tata group and other firms.
