Founder’s Day celebrated at DPS Gurgaon

Delhi Public School, Sector-45, Gurgaon celebrated its 9th Founder’s Day.

Delhi Public School, Sector-45, Gurgaon celebrated its 9th Founder’s Day. The senior school staged the Annual Production, 'Jungle Book Se Aage….' based on Rudyard Kipling's 'The Jungle Book', directed by famous theatre personalities Bubbles Sabharwal and Lushin Dubey. While the Chief Guest on the first day was Salman Khurshid, Ashok Chandra, Chairman of DPSS, graced the occassion on the second day.

Members of the DPS Society also graced the occasion. Principal Aditi Misra welcomed all the guests. The function began on a musical note with a presentation by the school choir, followed by a welcome speech by the head boy and head girl of the school. Khurshid released the school brochure on the occasion.

Vidya Bal Bhawan Sr. Sec. School, Mayur Vihar-III hosted an inter-school exhibition ‘Intellon’, where more than 500 students from various schools exhibited their creative intellect. Principal SV Sharma, Manager, HD Sharma, Manju Sharma and principals of various schools graced the opening ceremony.

The highlight of the exhibition was ‘antibiotic fermenter’, which bagged the 1st prize in the zonal science exhibition as well. Maths, Science, Social Studies and English departments of the school displayed various kinds of projects.

The event came to an end with the prize distribution ceremony.

Ramjas School, Pusa Road celebrated its 13thAnnual Day. Principal Mohini Bindra presented the annual report. A prize distribution ceremony was also held. Students presented a musical extravaganza, ‘Tarana’. The dance performances by the students, representing different countries like Spain, Arab and Scotland drew huge round of applause.

Springdales School, Dhaula Kuan held its senior school annual day and prize-giving ceremony. Renowned sarod maestro Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, was the chief guest. Professor Andre Beteille, Chairman, Managing Board, Springdales School, Dhaula Kuan welcomed the distinguished guests.

Presenting the Annual School Report, Principal Jyoti Bose said it has been an endeavour to build the youth for the future. 21st century education is about empowering young people to change society for the better and in tackling real challenges for a world beyond school.

Students presented a ballet based on a poem, ‘The Song of India’ composed by Shri Vinayak Krishna Gokak, depicting a dialogue between a young girl and mother India, expressing India’s beauty, her heroic past and the present progress.

This was followed by a prize distribution ceremony.
