Four persons have been arrested for allegedly abducting a 27-year-old man, who had taken money from them by promising them jobs abroad, police said on Sunday.

Rehan Khan, a resident of Shankar Gali, Turkman Gate, was kidnapped on the night of March 29 by five accused namely Rais Khan, Shakir Ali, Saleem, Rehman and Farooq around 10pm and taken to Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh, the police said.
Police, based on technical surveillance, arrested Rais Khan, 48, and Shakir Ali, 40, from a house in Moradabad and rescued the victim, a senior police officer said, adding Rehman, 45, and Farooq Ali, 35, were arrested at the instance of accused Khan and Ali and the vehicle used in commission of the crime, a Maruti 800, had been recovered from the possession of Farooq.
“They had confined the victim and pressurised him to return their money which they had given him for providing job abroad,” an officer said.
Rais Khan, resident of Thakurdwara in Moradabad district of Uttar Pradesh, was the mastermind. He has a transport business. Shakir Ali is a resident of mohalla Fatullaganj in Thakurdwara of Moradabad, and is a labour working for Khan.
Rehman, 45, resident of Chitli Qabar of Chandni Mahal in Delhi, is a relative of Khan and a builder.
