The minimum, at 26.4 degrees Celsius, was also two degrees above normal.
The temperature is expected to be similar in the coming two days as well with the weatherman predicting the temperature to be between 27 degrees and 40 degrees.
Friday was extremely uncomfortable with the humidity oscillating between 21% and 63%.
The city may also see isolated rain showers and dust storms on Saturday evening.
The mercury crossed the 40 degree mark on April 25 for the first time this summer when it touched 40.5 degrees
Though Met officials had predicted rain showers on Friday evening, no respite was seen.
