G.D. Goenka World School, Sohna organised Elpoder De Creacion a cultural evening comprising a play ‘Tuglaq-Delhi to Daulatabad’, a fusion Dance and Western Music.
The occasion was graced by Dr. Imre Lazar, Cultural Counsellor, Hungarian Cultural Centre, Renu Goenka, Vice-Chairperson, G. D. Goenka Schools, Nipun Goenka, Managing Director, G. D. Goenka Group, Satinder Kumar, Director, G. D. Goenka Schools and Dr. Kamlesh Mishra, Director, G. D. Goenka World Institute.
Principal Neeta Bali presented the annual report. The programme was appreciated by the Chief Guest and the parents. Anmol Sud, student of DLDAV School, Pitampura brought laurels to the school by winning the first team prize in Oracle’s Think Quest Narrative Competition held at International Level.
The winning team consisted of Anmol from India and students from USA and Brazil. The official coach who guided the team was Kristen Lightsey from US while Anita Ghandi, staff member, guided him from school. Anmol won a laptop and a trip to San Francisco.
His winning entry is available on Google search engine by the name 'Let Rock and Roll' Think Quest. G.P Chopra, President of DAVCMC, Srideep Omcheri, Chairman congratulated the school. Principal, Anita Wadhera lauded the team for the performance that has brought pride to the DAV organisation.
To commemorate the golden jubilee of Arwachin Shiksha Samiti, a cultural fiesta was organized at Arwachin School, Vivek Vihar. The event was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, M.C. Sharma, Controller of Exams, CBSE. Rajeshwar Sharma, Asstt. Secretary Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) was the Guest of Honour. Anurup Sharma, Chariman, Arwachin Shiksha Samiti and Urmila Sharma, Principal, Arwachin, Vivek Vihar welcomed all the guests.
They also highlighted the achievements of the Shiksha Samiti during the past fifty years. A grand cultural show was organized which was a display of colour, music and creativity.
Manava Bharati India International School, Panchsheel Park celebrated its Annual Day based on the theme of Panch-tattva or the five elements: bhumi, jal, pavan, agni, aakash.
A special rendition of song and dance, choreographed by the Danceworx Academy, not only highlighted the theme but was also the centre piece of the celebrations.
On the occasion, the Chief Guest was Salma Ansari, spouse of the Hon’ble Vice President of India. School Chairman, Capt. V. K Pandey and the members of the managing committee were also present for the occasion.
Principal, Bharati Pandey presented the Annual Report. This was followed by the Prize Distribution. The celebrations at the event concluded with a cultural programme, appreciated by everyone present.
