The special Cell of Delhi Police has arrested two alleged gangsters who were involved in the murder of a property dealer in northeast Delhi two months ago. Police said the two men were planning to kill a builder from the walled city.
The accused, identified as Tasleem (39) and Salim (29), were arrested from Karkardooma courts.
Salim Pehelwan, a local politician and a property dealer, was gunned down by the gang in Bhajanpura area on April 30. Pehelwan was returning home on his motorcycle.
“While Tasleem is involved in about twenty cases of heinous crimes, his associate Salim is involved in about 10 cases,” said Alok Kumar, DCP (Special Cell).
Police also said they recovered a pistol and six live cartridges from Tasleem’s possession.
The accused had hatched the plan to eliminate Salim along with their associates while they were lodged in the jail.
