GBU to up student intake

Gautam Budha University (GBU) will increase its students’ intake to 2,000 for 2011-12 academic session. HT reports.

Gautam Budha University (GBU) will increase its students’ intake to 2,000 for 2011-12 academic session.

The university is being developed on 511 acres of land. “Presently, the students’ strength is 832. After 2011-12 admissions, we hope to increase their strength to 2,000,” said Dinesh Saxena, registrar of the university.

“It is a residential campus. We have two boys’ and two girls’ hostels. Four more hostels are being constructed. After this, our hostels can accommodate 2,000 students,” the registrar said. “Each student is provided with a single room. Internet facility is provided in all rooms,” he added.

Gautam Budha University offers BTech, MTech and MBA courses among others.
