Held in the SP Jain Auditorium and Arts Faculty, these sessions not only provide graduate students an opportunity to learn of the various courses and departments in South Campus, but also a chance to interact with faculty, reports Tanya Ashreena.

What is the criteria for postgraduate admissions?

A student who has passed out of Delhi University (DU) with a 55 per cent aggregate and wishes to pursue the same course in postgraduation, will get direct admission. However, some courses like psychology or M.Com have admission only through entrances. A student who wants to study a different course from the one he or she has studied at the undergraduate level will have to sit for an entrance examination.

2 Do direct admission students get preference in postgraduation?

Any student who scores 55 per cent or above in some courses is given direct entry to DU. As the seats are limited, some times very few seats are left for other students. However, there is no preference as such.

3 Which are the best colleges to study MA English in South Campus?

The college a student is affiliated to makes no difference as classes for students of all colleges of South Campus are in common.

4 Where do I apply for Masters’ courses?

A student has to register for Master's courses individually with the department. Registration for several professional and science courses such as Business Economics, Finance and Control, Business Administration, and Management of Services, MSc Plant Molecular Biology, MSc Microbiology is in South Campus. Registration for courses under the Faculty of Arts and Faculty of Social Sciences, such as MA English, MA History, MA Philosophy and MA Political Science are conducted only in North Campus.
