Beleaguered Goa Chief Minister Digambar Kamat had dashed to the Capital on Friday morning for talks with central Congress leaders in an effort to save his government, which has been reduced to a minority.
Kamat is expected to meet Congress president Sonia Gandhi and other senior party leaders to find a way out of the political crisis in the coastal state.
"God will save my government," Kamat told PTI.
Senior NCP leaders Praful Patel and D P Tripathi, who returned from Goa in the wee hours on Friday, are also discussing the situation in the state within the party.
The seven-month-old Digamabar Kamat ministry was reduced to a minority with its alliance partner NCP and an independent legislator Vishwajit Rane withdrawing support.
