Graduation Day at Cambridge School

Cambridge School, Noida, organised the Graduation Ceremony for the outgoing students of Class V to bid them farewell.

Cambridge School, Noida, organised the Graduation Ceremony for the outgoing students of Class V to bid them farewell. The ceremony began with the lamp being lighted by the headmistress and one representative of each class. An Odissi group dance and an inspirational group song were presented by the choir. The Head Boy, Head Girl and a few other students talked about their experiences in the junior school and expressed their gratitude. The headmistress and teachers wished the students good luck for a bright and successful future.

The Forum of Public Schools held their annual conference at the India International Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi .The focus was on 21st Century Learning: Reinforcing the Modern-day 3Rs in Education—Revisiting, Rethinking and Revitalising. The chairperson Madhulika Sen, Principal of Tagore International, welcomed the audience and the key speakers for the day.

The inaugural speech was delivered by Professor Sudhir Kumar Sopory, distinguished scientist, eminent educationist and presently the Vice-Chancellor of Jawaharlal

Nehru University. Dr Harish Chaudhry, noted management consultant, spoke on ‘Use of Information and Communication Technology’. This session was chaired by Dr Shakutla S Jaima, Director of Institute for Gifted Children & Principal of Col Satsangi Kiran Memorial School. Chitra Ravi, Founder-CEO of EZ Vidya Pvt. Ltd., Chennai, highlighted on ‘Marching towards the 21st Century’.

The conference was well attended by principals of public schools, vice-principals, heads of faculties and educators.

Vidya Bal Bhawan Senior Secondary School, Mayur Vihar, celebrated its 11th Founder’s Day recently. Dr AK Walia, health minister, Govt. of NCT Delhi, was the chief guest. Other dignitaries were chairperson Rasham Devi, principal Dr SV Sharma, manager Dr HD Sharma, PTA member of the school.

The chief guest along with chairperson, principal and manager garlanded the photograph of Founder-Chairman Late Pt. Tekchand Sharma and lighted the lamp to pay homage. Staff and students of the school paid homage to the Founder-Chairman by offering flowers. The students presented a variety of cultural programmes and a play highlighting the necessity of moral values in the present society.

The principal and manager thanked all the distinguished guests for their cooperation in making the dream of the Founder-Chairman come true.
