Gurgaon schools to open on January 17

In the wake of severe cold conditions prevailing over the region, city schools have decided to extend winter vacations till January 15. The Department of School Education has issued directives to schools to remain shut.

In the wake of severe cold conditions prevailing over the region, city schools have decided to extend winter vacations till January 15. The Department of School Education has issued directives to schools to remain shut.

January 16 being Sunday, schools will reopen on January 17. Gurgaon witnessed a chilly Friday morning accompanied with fog as temperatures dipped to 4.3 degree Celsius. Saturday is also expected to be a cold and cloudy with the minimum temperature hovering around 5 degree Celsius.

Some private institutions like Heritage School will open the senior wing on January 10 due to pre-board exams. The Shri Ram Aravalli School re-opened on January 6 but shut down both the senior and junior wings till January 15. Ajanta Public School held an emergency meeting and decided to follow the order.
