A 16-year-old boy was brutally murdered and buried by his girlfriend’s father in Dwarka, southwest Delhi. According to police, three members of the girl’s family planned to kill Ohid, alias Rohit, in order to prevent him from meeting the girl.
The arrested persons have been identified as Amjad, Raja-Ul Huq and Hafizur. “Both the accused and victim’s families are from Mahenderpur, West Bengal. The victim and his daughter were studying in the same school in Harirampur where they had developed intimate relations. The deceased had been warned to stay away from the girl,” DCP (southwest) AK Ojha said. The main accused Hafizur later brought his daughter to Dwarka.
Ohid also followed them and came to Delhi. The girl’s family then decided to eliminate him. “Ohid was called to an isolated place in Dwarka on April 19 for a party where they offered him chilled beer. Once Ohid got drunk, they beat him ruthlessly and tried to smash his face with a stone and subsequently stabbed him in the abdomen,” Ojha further said. After murdering Ohid, the trio buried the corpse near Radha Swami Satsang, Sector 19, Dwarka in order to destroy the evidence.
Ati-ur-Rehman, Ohid’s uncle, informed the police about the incident.
“On April 19, Ohid was last seen with Khebur, Hafizur’s son. After that he didn’t return home for two days. On April 21, Rehman intensified his search and on the same day, around 6pm, they saw a heap of freshly dug soil in Sector 19, Dwarka. On closer scrutiny, they observed that a human knee was partially protruding out of the heap. The soil was removed and Ohid’s body was found under the soil,” Ojha added.
The body bore injury marks on the right eye and multiple stab wounds in the abdomen. “During investigation, it emerged that Ohid had relations with Khebur’s sister. Due to this, the relationship between the two families had become strained. The accused Hafizur, Razual Haq and Amzat were apprehended from Pochanpur Village. Khebur is absconding.
