HT is Delhi, NCR readers' No 1 choice
Hindustan Times has once again been declared the leading newspaper of Delhi and the national capital region (NCR) in the latest round (2011 Q2) of the Indian Readership Survey (IRS) released by the Media Research Users' Council (MRUC) on Friday.

The total readership of Hindustan Times in Delhi NCR is 34 lakh which is 1,75,000 more than that of its closest competitor, The Times of India. Even the daily readership (Average Issue Readership or AIR) of Hindustan Times is higher by 80,000.
In Mumbai, HT continues to be the fastest growing English daily and the only one to have grown in 11 out of the last 12 IRS rounds. HT has grown by 21% (to a 7.2 lakh daily readership) since it became No 2 English daily in Mumbai, four IRS rounds ago.
In other geographies too, HT continues to grow.
In Chandigarh, HT is the No 1 English daily on total readership and a very close No 2 in daily readership.
Overall, Hindustan Times, with 37.37 lakh daily readership, has emerged as the fastest growing national English daily in the country in this round of the IRS.
Mint, HT Media's business newspaper, has further consolidated its No 2 position with 2.40 lakh daily readers growing by 8.1% over last round, with a strong show in Mumbai.
Hindustan, the group's Hindi daily, strengthened its No 2 position among all newspapers in India with a huge 3.71 crore total readership, increasing its lead over Dainik Bhaskar to 36 lakh readers.
