With India becoming a hotspot for travel and a steady influx of foreign tourists every year, the 11th edition of 'HT Destinations', the travel fair that enables consumers to choose from the best deals and offers on travel to various holiday spots, was kicked off in a grand style at Hotel Hyatt Regency, Bhikaji Cama Place, New Delhi.

The two-day event was inaugurated by Delhi Tourism chairman Manish Chatrath. The event promises the best packages to consumers and all this without them having to run around to different travel and tour agencies.

Sponsored by Cox & Kings and Carnation Holidays, the fair got a good response on the opening day with most people making a beeline to inquire, explore and eager to discover new destinations.

"I'm so glad that we came here. We have been looking for a cruise trip and hope that this fair will help us find something substantial. I'm quite tired of calling up and browsing through different websites. Here we will be directed to places of our interest," said Nishi Gupta, a dentist who came with her husband.

The fair is also hosting other prominent players like Thomas Cook, Royal Carribean Cruises, MP Tourism, Make My Trip, etc., and one also stands a chance to win free holiday packages to Maldives and other exotic tourist destinations.

"This is my first time here and we were able to get a very good deal for a trip we were planning for Madhya Pradesh," said Tulana Saha, another visitor.

Shashank Awasthi, a financial analyst, said, "Besides being a hot spot for all agencies coming under one roof, this is a great idea as it's also very informative and one can explore a lot."
